Romantic Getaway to Edinburgh | Lifestyle

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably know that I went on a short vacation with James to Edinburgh. I've only been to Edinburgh once before, and that was years ago when I was about 7 so I was really excited about this trip! The reason why we decided to take this trip is because we were generously given First class Virgin Trains tickets to any destination, courtesy of Virgin Trains themselves. So we just decided to travel as far from London as possible, so we could make full use of the tickets!

After choosing Edinburgh as our destination, we found the most darling cottage which we rented for 3 nights. The cottage was everything and more we could have asked for, romantic, picturesque, and in  the perfect location making it easy for us to walk along the Royal Mile. The streets along the Royal Mile were busy, and full of life, and Edinburgh Castle was absolutely breathtaking. I love how all the buildings seem to be quite old, and traditional which really adds to the beautiful history of this city.
Now prepare yourself for a huge spam of pictures.

I will definitely be returning to Edinburgh one day, as 3 nights surprisingly just wasn't enough time.We really wanted to go to Arthur's Seat but unfortunately it was really foggy and misty, so we will leave that for the next time! Thank you for having us Edinburgh :)

I hope you all liked this little post, how many of you are from/have been to Edinburgh?
See you in my next post!

    1. Haha well my godmother had an awful train ride with Virgin Trains, so she'd written a complaint to them, and they sent her a complimentary first class ticket, which she passed over to me! It was the same situation with James hehe, we were very lucky! x
