My Last Month of Netflix

I have a confession...I only got Netflix a few months ago.
Yes, I was one of those people who stayed awkwardly quiet whilst everyone else swapped stories on the latest shows that were trending. Now that I have it, how did I survive so long without it!?

So, after spending countless hours catching up on all the hot shows, and eating my weight and more in snacks - I thought I'd share what I've finished and loved this last month.

New Beginnings...

It’s hard to start something new.
Instagram has been something that I have always enjoyed (no matter how hard I tried to stay away!) and something that I’ve been on since I was 16. But when it comes to blogging, I always wanted to get in to but saw it as more “unfamiliar territory”.
I’ve started and stopped more times than I can count over the years, whether it’s due to work, general life, and also just because I was anxious over whether I was any good at it, or if anyone is even out there reading.
But this year, even though we’re already coming in to April and I may be late to the party for new years resolutions, I want to force myself out of my comfort zone.
So it’s decided – I will start blogging! I’ve left behind the old blogs, left behind the old social media sites I once had, and I’m starting again. New content, new start.
Watch this space, there will be more to come.

My Favourites of 2016 | Beauty, Fashion & More!

Here we are, saying goodbye to another year.
I'm going to say it.
The thing that I'm sure some of you have said, or your parents, your aunts, uncles, grandparents, friends - someone will have said it.
2016 went so quickly!!!

To be honest, I do say that every year but this year feels like it's been the most life changing year of my life to date. So it seemed only natural to write up a few posts focusing on my favourites, highlights and memories of 2016 - starting with the products and things I've loved this year!

What I got for Christmas

Well since Christmas was only a couple of days ago (cue the crying, and sad face!), it seems only natural to share some love for the things I got this year!
I hope no one feels I am bragging in any way, I personally just love reading posts like these, and seeing what other people got, so I thought it may be quite fun to share! I am extremely grateful for everything I have received, as I always am!

Right, so here we go!

The Autumn Tag

At the moment, it hasn't felt like Autumn has come yet, so I am still waiting for the crisp breezes and the beautiful changes of colours in the leaves. In the meantime, to get me more into the Autumn mood, I was tagged by the lovely Hayley to do "The Autumn Tag" and what better time is there to do it than in Autumn?

Ok we're talking coffees - what's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero etc?

I'm not much of an experimenter of drinks at all, considering I hate the taste of coffee (apologies to all the coffee lovers out there), so I'm pretty boring but my favourite seasonal all year round drink would be the "Classic Hot Chocolate" from Starbucks. To be honest, the only reason why I chose Starbucks is because of their amazing whipped cream..mmm!

Accessories - what do you opt for, scarf, boots, gloves?

Boots, always. For me, there's nothing that can perfect an outfit more than a pair of chunky boots.

Music - what's your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?

Like Hayley, Gabrielle Aplin is top of my playlist. Her voice is just so calming, and I swear I can picture people running through autumn leaves when she sings...
And then of course Ed Sheeran, because...well because it's Ed and he's amazing.

Perfume - what's your favourite scent for this time of year?

"Chance Eau Tendre" by Chanel.

Candles - what scents will you be burning this season?

I absolutely love "Autumn Fruit" by Yankee Candle. I know Yankee Candles are absolutely raved about everywhere, but there is literally just a scent for every occasion, and they're of the most incredible quality.

What do you love most about Autumn?

The colours. Burgundy, red, ochre yellow, gosh I love them all.

Favourite make up look?

I wouldn't say I have a particular look, but my favourite lipstick to rock out is my MAC lipstick in "Diva", which is a matte finish.

What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?

Snuggles by the fire, with huge blankets and mahoosive mugs of hot chocolate.
Oh wait, I don't have a fireplace. So just everything else.

I tag the lovely Georgia, ZoëAmyAimee, and Sarah to do "The Autumn Tag"!
And also any of my lovely readers, and if you do do it, comment below so I can read them!

October Wishlist

I've never written a wish list before, so I have no idea if you're meant to put them at the beginning of the month or the end? But here are a few things I've been dreaming of for the longest time, so this October I'm going to set out and get them, or at least ones similar!

Top left to right:

1) Black Patent Metal Snaffle Trim Loafers - New Look (£19.99)

I really want a pair of loafers, to wear with my smart clothes when I'm heading to uni. They're so simple, yet so classy, especially with the metal plate detail.

Essie is probably my favourite nail varnish brand, and I have fallen in love with their Autumn collection! The one that really stood out for me was this beautiful, dark blue shade, but now looking at the whole of the collection..I want them all.

3) Glasses print bedding set - Primark (£12)

For my second year of uni, I've moved out of my halls and into a new house with a double bed! So I've been frantically shopping for the perfect bedding, and I came across this super cute set on the Primark website! I find it so adorable, I just have to have it, then I can wear glasses whist lying in my glasses bedsheets and then...glasses overload.

Bottom left to right:

4) Floppy Wool Fedora Hat - Topshop (£35)

I just keep having images of me in a long black trench coat, jet black long hair, red lipstick, and a big floppy wool fedora hat. I need one.

5) High-Waist Denim Mini Skirt - American Apparel (£48)

Lastly, I don't think I've worn a proper denim skirt since I was a pre-teen. I've seen quite a few people sporting this skirt, and it's just tempted me to get one for myself!

What's on your wish list this October? Do you have any recommendations for me?

Quick Pasta Salad Lunch! | Lifestyle

Hello everyone!

Just a quick post today after I was super proud of me attempting to make a healthy-ish lunch instead of me going out and getting a KFC bucket!
Now I don't know about you guys, but sometimes I just can't be bothered to leave the house and spend ages in a grocery store, scouring the shelves for something to eat! So, I decided to just raid my kitchen cupboards and fridge.

One of the best things about pasta salads, is that you can literally just throw in anything you like, and it will probably taste amazing! My favourite pasta to use for salads is fusilli, because they're bite sized, easy to eat, and more fun and funky than penne ;)

So after, rummaging around in the vegetable compartment, I grabbed a couple of things to start experimenting with and this is how my lunch turned out!

Ingredients:

Fusilli
A can of tuna
Runner beans
Baby corn
1 hard boiled egg
Lime (for dressing)

What are some of your favourite lunches, or things to put in salads? I'd love to hear form you!
Hope you liked this quick post!

Romantic Getaway to Edinburgh | Lifestyle

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably know that I went on a short vacation with James to Edinburgh. I've only been to Edinburgh once before, and that was years ago when I was about 7 so I was really excited about this trip! The reason why we decided to take this trip is because we were generously given First class Virgin Trains tickets to any destination, courtesy of Virgin Trains themselves. So we just decided to travel as far from London as possible, so we could make full use of the tickets!

After choosing Edinburgh as our destination, we found the most darling cottage which we rented for 3 nights. The cottage was everything and more we could have asked for, romantic, picturesque, and in  the perfect location making it easy for us to walk along the Royal Mile. The streets along the Royal Mile were busy, and full of life, and Edinburgh Castle was absolutely breathtaking. I love how all the buildings seem to be quite old, and traditional which really adds to the beautiful history of this city.
Now prepare yourself for a huge spam of pictures.

I will definitely be returning to Edinburgh one day, as 3 nights surprisingly just wasn't enough time.We really wanted to go to Arthur's Seat but unfortunately it was really foggy and misty, so we will leave that for the next time! Thank you for having us Edinburgh :)

I hope you all liked this little post, how many of you are from/have been to Edinburgh?
See you in my next post!
